Qualified To Represent the LBC

Ultraklystron

Or atleast actually in the LBC, as I’m here for AX. I’m mooching some free wi-fi from the hotel I’m at (side note: boourns on said wi-fi only being free in the Lobby. That’s a lame move for a luxury chain like the Of course, I’m on my lightweight but underpowered Linux laptop, but it’ll hold up for taking notes at panels (blantant plug: stick with ToonZone.net for all the latest AX coverage,) and for general internet usage.

Oh, and I think I set a new personal sleep-less record – I went from about noon on Wednesday to about 10pm Thursday. Alas, I didn’t think I was a hummingbird by the end of all that.

Gimme an “I”

I don’t give an unholy fuck about the iPhone. I can’ afford one, I couldn’t find one if I had the scratch, and I no doubt lack the adequate amount of Mac-fanboy swagger to properly operate the infernal device even if the previous criteria were met. Plus it’s tethered to the iTunes service, which is, I truly believe, the devil.

But I am not your average joe.

You all probably want an iPhone. You,

More Nerd News in Brief.

Filed under: hipster please — @ 3:12 pm

I am fascinated by “news,” and I use the term loosely. From the grisly to the entirely impertinent, I am bombarded daily with nuggets of info that in no way enrich my life.

Mostly they just scare me.

Are you happy, Scientific American? Now I’m afraid of bats!

For the record, the other day I started posting pictures on a new flickr account. It was pretty much just to help host pics of Router in case Dan wanted to use any of them for Nerdcore For Life, but I started posting some other ones too. So check em out if you have the time. There are some shots from the Mediocre Tour you might not have seen before.

How Shit is Going

Filed under: northwest nerdcore — @ 4:20 am

So, Northwest Nerdcore, collectively, is kinda burned out. I ain’t gonna lie. We’ve been at this pretty much non-stop for over half a year. Well, we’re gonna take a semi-break. We’re still turning out for the mc chris show in Oregon on the 3rd, and we’re still putting on the Nerdcore Night at PAX, but [...]

THE CLAM DOWN

Filed under: mc chris — @ 10:38 pm

i cabbed it to the sicilians to get sheared for summer. back to brooklyn to get a better non terrorist looking passport. so now they took my decrepid indiana jones worthy birthcertificate. the dmv has my license. i have an interim. southwest airlines told me not to worry go a half hour earlier than normal. i’ve done it before. i’ll be fine. they can’t keep me here. i have to do a show! three in fact and see three movies! and go to this arcade, and see fireworks over the trees. i’ve been playing rain sfx mp3’s while i sleep cuz im stoked for the northwest.

things to remember this tour. cd’s are last pressing. no more of these babies. we’ve got about one thousand cd’s. only two hundred dmocs. they are gonna fly quick.

we’ll have four shirts: the pirate, the lab, the ninja and the zombie

we’ll have posters, patches, pins, stickers.

i sign and do photogs after every show. i know ur friend doesn’t know how his camera works it’s not a big deal.

for tickets go to the venues website, call the venue, and then show up to the venue early last resort. try to have a plan if you can, have a ride, and a place to stay. don’t be dumb.

if u bring food, we dont eat cookies and brownies and stuff. just healthy stuff and i dont mean hippie humus stuff either. jonnie the roadie likes purple fifty cent water, i dunno what the hell its called. i like diet coke but i think i get a rider this summer. so don’t worry about bringing me anything. i’m fine. maybe potter if you get it before we head over to barnes and nobes after spanish moon in baton rouge. (i like jar jar.)

filming and recording is ok! i’ll go over that with each venue just to be clear. please record me ad infinitum and post promptly.

both my roadies this summer will playing nintendo ds at the merch table. please challenge them, beat them, and then tip them.

please dont smoke in the first few rows next to the stage. it’s makes those desperate gulps for air way more good.

we are going to see ratatouille and die hard 4 and we’ll let u where and when (maybe.)

peace out and see ya on tour, i’m stoked. here’s hopin the airport doesn’t give me the clam down.
