I would regale you all with tales of my recent vacation, but I reckon the Dead Milkmen have already provided a pretty fair summation.
I am not a beach person. I am a desk person. And from this desk I bring you Nerd News in Brief.
Calculate your Dangerosity: In answer to “the cats who apparently disagree that [he’s] on another level, skill-wise,” Jesse Dangerously has issued the following
The first Ultraklystron song for the Desu Desu Desu mixtape, namely Not Your Personal Rapper, rapped over a backing unintentionally provided by Jesse Dangerously as it’s the backing from “Outfox’d” from his album Interalia. He put it up as part of a “rate your cover of me”-thing, but I fail at reading directions and rapped some original lyrics (which are in the “…more” of this post) over the song instead.

I feel like an idiot. I thought I was going to start touring yesterday. Wrong! lol. That was just one show. We were to come home then drive to California Wednesday. But now it turns out we’re not going to Cali at all now, which saddens me to no end because I was very much looking forward to seeing Doctor Popular and Amy and perhaps making new friends in the Bay. But sadly fate has decided against this plan. We had to cancel those shows in Cali due to a combination of miscommunications and a need for practice. Two of the bands (CAB and Silica) have brand new drummers and they have only been able to practice 2 or 3 times so far. From the show last night it was obvious they were not happy with their performances and needed to work some more. Both drummers are fantastic though (Zach, lead singer of Silica is drumming for CAB, and Jay is the new drummer for Silica. Basically Zach is a machine built for rocking!) and had someone not told me I would have never known there were any mistakes.
So my next official show will be in Eugene, OR with mc chris, Nursehella, Rappy McRapperson, and many others! Come check it out!
at midnight last night before saul of the mole men adult swim flashed my pirate pics then all my dates, then my website. rock! thx swim! look for it in repeats this week!
So, after some more messing around, I finally have my site working nicely and looking good (actually it’s better than it was on both accounts,) even on vaguely older browsers (like Internet Explorer 6.0.) However, the site doesn’t at all validate as well, proper anything – XHTML, HTML – you name it. Of course, neither did the old template, so I’m not that sour about things, but I have a feeling it’ll be easier said that done to get it to validate as at least XHTML 1.0 Transitional (though it’d be cool if it were truly XHTML 1.1 compliant.)
Oh well, time to turn the clock back to where I was a decade or so ago, building a website to promote my music and learning the proper code to do so as I went along. ^_^
Edit: Turns out I’m still sorta decent at web programming. The main page atleast is now vaild XHTML 1.0 Transitional with valid CSS.
And so it begins…
Tomorrow morning marks the beginning of a 2 month experiment in road trips, a tripsperiment if you will. Some gigs keep changing, others have been set in stone for months, but all I know is that I know nothing. For those of you under a rock that appeartly has wifi access, I’m going on tour with bands Better Off Naked, CAB, Silica, Bomb Threat Wednesday, and a bunch of other bands under the ZKrew Super Show banner. I’ll basically be spending the next two months trying to win over punk rock kids to my silly brand of Nerdcore Hip-Hop.
I won’t be able to blog often, but I will do all I can to relate to you my adventures from the road. St. Cameraman will be joining us for a while and has promised that we’d produce some form of video diaries to post. You think you know? You have no idea? This is the diary of teh Beefyness! I’m also going to attempt to do a podcast from the road as well. Have mic. Will travel. And who knows, I might even record some special songs while on the road. Ya never know. I might just go in a coma until gig time, rock the mic, then go back into a coma. You never know what Beefy you’ll get when he hits the road!
So friends, come for the Beefy, stay for the awesome punk rock, then later maybe let Beefy do some coming. Just throwing that out there. I have needs.

So far on this vacation, I have learned I am allergic to children’s sun screen, the wife has left our car unlocked on the street for a full 24 hours, and my sun has fervently vomited in a local diner. But it ain’t been all bad; the weather has been wonderfully mild and we hit up a great sushi place this evening. Still, if I had to sum up the trip in two words it would have to be totally
