Radio Free Hipster Ep. 27: More Than Meets the Eye

Filed under: hipster please — @ 10:40 am

I’ll go out on a limb and say that this may be the most eclectic edition of Radio Free Hipster to date.

“Eclectic,” of course, is simply college-boy speak for totally fucked up.

Between the hip-hop, the j-pop, the buttrock, and the filk – not to mention the extended instrumental sub-set – I can’t help but feel that this ep. may lose a couple of you, but that’s the price I pay for refusing to

we’re watching greek on abc family. and we drove up highway four all day. a little one so we could avoid columbus at rush hour. it was all farms and flags and sweet corn stands. we rode the bitch and son of bitch today at noon. as well as delirium (awesome) and the scooby’s haunted castle (lame couldn’t get the flashlight guns to work.) we also went on the adventure express which is a misnomer to say the least. we were gonna ride some point tonight, but i think we’re a little beat. so we’re gonna finish this up and go eat some olive garden or something. tomorrow we do point and then we drive home 80 to nyc. we get there wednesday night. rock. thursday and friday i’m in nyc receiving and unpacking more boxes of merch.

there’s much to discuss. and i may drop a blog bomb after dinner. texas. cloak and dagger. dfest. we’ve been breaking some records so i’m kinda happy. and i found a date to my cousin’s wedding. i think.

we are in sandusky tho, so holler if u wanna hang. dunno if we’re up to it. but i’m a good listener if u got ideas (or dank.) we crashed at a fan’s last night. thanks again nekron, nice to meet everybody. when i walk into a house and someone is reading potter, well… it’s the opposite of lamb’s blood on the door frame. it’s a very great feeling to think i’m never alone and that there are always people out there that are willing to help out.

now i’m gonna read that old blog about king’s over cedar to see what we ride.

Nerd News in Brief

Filed under: hipster please — @ 1:34 pm

We nerds are seemingly warlike by nature. We tend to pick our ponies early on and ride ‘em out as long and as far as possible. We tend to disagree and debate and, let’s face it, bitch incessantly, but we seldom let shit get out of hand.

Except for this guy; this guy flipped the fuck out. Which begs the question was he really a nerd after all? Maybe he was just a psycho.

I’m sure they have their

today we start to head home. my voice is gone and the main part of tour is over.

we are heading towards rollercoaster world, ie ohio.

we are either stopping in st. louis

or indianapolis.

do you live in these places. do you want to have a rapper consume ur goods and sleep in ur bedz? he has one greek roadie in tow. so we need two sleeping places with no pets. doesn’t matter if they’re outside. i’m allergic to dead skin cells, yo. the battlefield is under a microscope, so we need clean places with no dog death on everything.

we have a long drive but if there’s fun you know we subscribe to it.

holler.

THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT MADE OUR JULY SHOWS OUR BEST EVER!!!!

Ultraklystron

So, my driver’s licence was returned to me via the upstanding members of Mega64, so I won’t have to be sent to the “we think you’re evil” line at the airport. Meanwhile, SpikeTV interviewed a bunch of Nerdcore rappers after the Friday show at the Capcom Booth including myself, they even had YT Cracker and I freestyle, and for once I really feel like I was on my game and that it came out very well. That should air in a couple weeks on Spike’s Game Head, if it makes it to air. Additionally, I recieved a free Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu! boxset at ADV’s panel, I think I might have made a pretty good press contact with Del Rey, and I finally had a chance to talk with Lance from FUNimation a little, so maybe, just maybe, I’m catching a bit of a break.

Bossfight Awesomeness from Capcom Booth at Comic Con 2007

Filed under: northwest nerdcore — @ 3:22 pm

Bossfight put the following video up on the Z1 blog just yesterday, but I only got to it today. The video shows ZeaLous1 chatting up some fans and Beefy tearing it up in the ring with his song “Chun Li” off his album Tube Technology. The lone man looking on is none other then Nerdcore [...]

Nerdcore: The Week in Review

Filed under: northwest nerdcore — @ 3:22 pm

This week in Nerdcore:

Details of the Capcom/Nerdcore For Life Nerdcore showcase unravled to unveil a VERY exciting Capcom Comicon, err, booth. The addition of Mega Ran to the showcase, while unexpected (Random is not affiated with NC4L), was only fitting. Capcoms exhibit is only one example of how other conventions and expos are responding to E3’s [...]

Much updateness

So… I will preface this saying I’ve had a few beers. Which is interesting since Nerdapalooza is alcohol and drug free. Guess I’m trying to drink as much as I can before the show, lol.
First off… in case you didn’t hear about the AWESOMENESS…. the [...]
