We of Optimus Rhyme are excited for our summer in the sunny funny Pacific Northwest. Our first directive takes place this Saturday June 2 at the sunny funny Yakima Valley Tech’s annual outdoor rock and roll – excuse me, rock n’ roll – gala called Edgefest. I’t’s put on by the mighty KYVT 88.5FM – THE EDGE! This is always a hell of a sunny, funny time for us (except for that fat kid one year who threatened to “beat my ass” when I was playing with the props left lying around in the “green room”) and best of all its all ages so we finally get to touch – er, reach out to and affect emotionally (WITH OUR MUSIC) – today’s impressionable youth, upon whom it is widely agreed the future of the nation, the world and our collective geriatric wellbeing depends. We don’t get many all ages shows. We don’t get a lot of outdoors shows either so if anyone from the Seattle area wants to drive 3 hours to see the sunny, funny Yakima valley and make a weekend of it next weekend would be the time. Do some camping, do some rocking. We’ll be rocking regardless because we believe the children are the future, and those who like to rock will need the most attention in their formative years, e.g. this weekend in Yakima
