i walked down to the strip right away, it was crazy hot and there was a wind. so like stephen said, it felt like a heater was aimed at u, a hot fan. and it was hot in general as well. the cruel wind just added to the effect. it’s nevada in june. it aint pretty. why am i wearing black again?
we went to sahara to ride speed the nascar coaster. but it was down. the cafe was just a bar, so we got in line for the sahara buffet. we piled our plates high with the same glazed over look that every other food zombie had. some parts were yum, some parts were eh. it was so many people gorging. we are cattle.
i went to circus circus across the street and rode the rollercoaster there. i also went to the 4D show cuz i wanted to see the marvin the martian movie but i got a crappy thing called fun house that spit water at you and poked you in the back. the only fun part were the other girls in the theater, all black, that screamed every time there was a mouse on screen. another thing that was awesome was that on all the marvin the martian posters all over the adventuredome, the background was from space ghost. i shit you not. the talk show set with duck dogers and marvin on it. don’t worry i took pictures. the rollercoaster, which i don’t even know the name of, was actually really fun and it had like three good parts, you got air at one part, which is as good as gets, and there was a dark tunnel and any time a ride cruises through a space, like the adventure dome, it’s awesome, this is why the disney monorail is awesome. because it goes through the hotel.
after circus circus i went to treasure island to see the pirate show. it was called sirens which hopefully meant pirate pasties. because of wind conditions the show was cancelled. the crowd awwwwwd and then we all moved like cattle away from the theatrical pirate ship with its singe marks and obvious awesomeness. they also have a show called bite at the stratosphere that has naked vampires doing erotic things. i want to experience the erotic side of ninjas next.
i went to seven eleven got some grub and went back to super 8 to watch drillbit taylor which was awesome, and made me a little misty. it’s by seth rogen and it’s an apatow production, but it’s also for kids, namely thirteen year olds experiencing freshmen year. it’s basically about how they hire a homeless iraq war veteran that went awol to kick a guys ass, but they all become buddies in the process. i really liked it and it’s got matt walsh, matt besser and ian roberts from ucb. as well as jerry minor who is also part of that crew. lots of cool comedy cameos. and the owen wilson was good too. it was right around his suicide attempt so he’s really got this battered look to him. but he and rogen and everybody do a great job i think. and i liked how much fighting was in it. i got charlie bartlett and spiderwick as well as wire four on deck. i was kinda turned off by forgetting sarah marshall and the superbad popularity explosion but drillbit won me over. there just aren’t enough movies about junior high and freshman year. if you heard my new album you know it was hell for me too.
today i woke up and went to alternate reality comics, but there was hardly anything good. i got the umbrella academy trade and the fantastic four secret invasion number 2. some other stuff, that i wouldn’t normally get but i remember last time i was at this store i did the same thing. i like trying new things. i don’t have to just read marvel. i just happen to like it more than not. while i got my comics i gave some church people forty bucks to wash the bugs off my cars. they said they were an outreach program, reaching out to gang bangers, prostitutes, drug dealers. i figured it can’t hurt and my car needs some love. they’re shouting car wash in front of 7/11, and they told me tell my friends. i have over 80k of those, so if you live in vegas and need ur car washed go see’m tell mc chris sent ya. i was driving a bright blue minivan, i call it the cobra personnel carrier. the gijoe personnel carrier was my first big joe toy.
