why am i showing honey i shrunk the kids, besides totally loving it when i saw it as a kid? well, rick moranis. i’ve done a few screenings already at the alamo drafthouse. at the alamo you get treated to an awesome preview reel and food brought to your seat. their popcorn is awesome and the only problem is picking what to get. i usually get everything and then i get sick. we’ve seen indiana jones and the temple of doom, ghostbusters, cloak and dagger, and my fav, galaxy quest (where i get never give up never surrender.) when we saw ghostbusters we cheered every time moranis came on screen and in effect, made him the main character of ghostbusters. with honey i shrunk the kids, we have the break through beginning of one of the greatest trilogies of all time, if you dont include the ride but do include the dvd (which i havent seen or ridden.) i think it’s safe to say that i want to do spaceballs next spring when i tour next. for now tho, let’s enjoy part two in my own personal trilogy of moranis screenings, honey i shrunk the kids. if you didnt know rick moranis is now a country singer. i’ve tried to get in contact with him to no avail. my dream is that one day he will attend one of these screenings with us and we can put him on our shoulders and treat him like a king.
