but i just went to amazon.com and looked at all the games coming out.
how am i expected to stop being a care free roustabout and start working on something all serious like when i’ve got the following obstacles to contend with:
1. fallout 3. this looks to be the best game of my life. i love oblivion, i love the apocalypse. i hope the world isnt too big. i’ve got a cartoon to make.
2. left 4 dead. this looks to be the best game of my life. killing zombies with an engine that knows whether or not to let you get attacked. a director that says in the game’s mind: cue zombies! that’s awesome. i think im going to be talking about the apocalypse a lot this tour. because im so stoked for it.
3. gears of war 2. are you kidding me? hopefully this is just filler like god of war 2, because obviously i’ve got other games to contend with. but how can i deny one of the best gaming experiences of my gaming career? i played that in my dad’s office in the attic one christmas. it gets hot up there when you’re in the midst of a firefight. and the guys that make that game are mc chris fans. and you can’t deny the fans.
4. mortal kombat vs. dc. finally, i can finish off all these characters that i find so bland and boring. i want to do a goro vs. myxylplck match up and im pretty sure im playing just to look at catwoman’s booobs.
5. tombraider.underworld. lara croft on the ps3. uncharted was one of my favorite games of this past year. (i got it late) i love looking for treasure and looking at hot chicks. im sorry! i apologize. i even like the national treasure movies and am stoked for the 3rd one. i have an illogical archaelogical addiction.
6. kingdom hearts: chain of memories. i knew i kept my ps2 for something. a ds remake that ties kingdom hearts one and two. finally! because that gap was HUGE! (that’s what he said, or she said, if she’s you know, shopping.)
7. Nancy Drew: the white wolf of icicle creek. did you know that colonel’s bequest was one of my favorite games growing up. and i wish i had a pc so i could play agatha christie games? yeah i know. so i like mysteries! arif from protest the hero, one of the first things he said to me was: i wish there was a REAL nancy drew movie, where she’s a flapper in the 1920’s and she smokes with a long cig holder. that’s how i knew we’d be friends. (and i dont reeeeally want to play this game, i’m just trying to get to ten cuz gots ocd. yeah i do wanna play this game)
8. speaking of sierra games. have you heard of wet. it looks like tombraider meets metal gear meets matrix and i think i saw zombies. and we’ve got a chick in a bathtub who just wants to chill out and not think about all those guys she just killed in the face.
9. a new banjo kazooie. i hope these guys never leave us and i think he should go on a joint venture with ratchet and clank. and mario.
10. a new ravin rabids (the only reason to have a wii?) a new resistance. saints row 2. and a new prince of persia (although i couldnt stand the last one.) maybe the prince will look more like jake gyllenhaal.
so yeah there’s tons of competition. i think i will prolly pick two and play them for a week and then get real.
