Brooklyn! It is hot and wonderful. MC Frontalot will hide away from the world here and work on his various debilitating personal issues.
After that is PAX.

Hey internets! Lots of cool stuff going on and I don’t type it all down enough. I’m sorry.
Firstly, my Nerdy South brother ytcracker just put out a new 8-bit awesome video for “the link“, animated by doctor octoroc! It’s ridiculously cool! Peep game!
Speaking of doctors — my very favorite PhD, Doctor Popular, along with crashfaster and 8Bit Betty have put out music inspired by their game KnifeTank titled KnifeTank (The Albumhole). Check out tracks three and four as I feature in both! It was really great to work with Doc Pop again for the first time since Rolling Doubles. Also be sure to check out the game the album is based on! It’s really quite enjoyable. The entire album is a delight for Doc fans and those who enjoy chiptune tracks and you should for sure tell your friends! (It was also recently featured on the latest Radio Free Hipster! Boosh!)
To those of you excited for the August 18th show with Kirby Krackle, please prepare for sadness: The 8/18 show has been canceled! ![]()
I am very sorry, but we will try to set a new date just as soon as possible. I promise!
My friend Shael Riley (along with his Double Ice Backfire) have started something I haven’t seen done in the nerd music community. He has started an Amazon backed KickStarter. Basically, you can donate to the creation and distribution of their first full album. The more you donate, you cooler shit you can claim once the project is complete, but you can still donate as little as $1. The beauty is that it’s run through Amazon, so hopefully you’re tech savoy enough to know the purchasing process (if not, why are you on this website? Hi [family member name]!) Those of you not familiar Songs From The Pit put out last year need to get on the goddamn ball! Everyone in my circle has heard the EP about 50 times without skipping a track*. You won’t be disappointed! So help my brother out!
[*the EP was put out on cassette tape, so technically skipping tracks wasn't really an option, but we wouldn't have even if we could.]
In the meantime I’ve been working on the next free EP. I also decided what I’m going to title the next full album. I’ve been playing around with After Effects lately so don’t be surprised if you see a lot of dumb vids on my youtube soon. I’m writing up a little review of The Rondo Brother’s & Motion Man’s latest The Foreign Globester but don’t let my laziness keep you for checking out a truly spectacular album. Until next time friends, have a good one!

Moved to Saturday night! Mark yer callendar apps.
Front’s in San Diego at Comic-Con! Come meet him and buy things and have those things autographed, any time, all weekend long. The booth space is kindly provided by team Penny Arcade, and you will find Front on their outer edge, booth 1237.
The show at Casbah is tonight, with Lars, yt, Megaran, and the Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal crew. Front’s on around 11:15, so can probably even catch him after w00tstock.
Tomorrow (Friday) is the hotly anticipated Zero Day Print signing with Jhonen Vasquez. Find your dear MC Frontalot and Mr. V seated together at the Topatoco booth (#1231, just around the corner) from 5:30 until 7 in the evening. Those prints will be available at Front’s concession for the remainder of the weekend.

Catriona Sturton is an obvious candidate for inviting into your home for tea, let alone a performance. Most notorious as the bassist from 1990s East Coast indie rock quartet Plumtree, with that group finding a resurgence in popularity due to their classic 7” “Scott Pilgrim” having lent its title to a sensationally popular comic book series, and that comic now having been adapted into a major motion picture, Catriona stands now on her own, playing electric guitar, bluesy harmonica or Japanese shamisen, and singing self-penned songs about pants-dialling your crush, opening up to your friends, how to cope with break-ups, and that perennial staple of songwriting: Wheel of Fortune. She is frankly adorable.
